Disney Magic Cruise Ship tied up at the On the west coast of the Atlantic, in Brevard County, Florida, lies Port Canaveral, one of the busiest cruise and cargo ports in the world. In 2008 nearly 1.2 million cruise passengers embarked from Port Canaveral. Port Canaveral is near Disney World and several other large theme parks in the central Florida area. It's also just adjacent to the Cape Canaveral Space Center - a visit to which makes an exciting addition to any cruise. Three cruiselines operate from Port Canaveral: Carnival Cruise Lines offer good value cruises to the Caribbean and Bahamas, with itineraries ranging from 3 to 7 nights. Royal Caribbean Cruise Line also run Bahamas cruises and longer Caribbean cruises. Disney Cruise Line offer their unique kid-friendly cruises.
