Port of Departure Galveston, Texas
Carnival Conquest tied up at Galveston dock. The prominent white building to the left is the railroad museum. Galveston Island, situated about 20 miles south east of Houston city centre, has become the favorite departure port from the Texas coastline. Cruise ships depart to exotic destination in the Caribbean and Mexico. The Port of Galveston now boasts two modern cruise ship terminals, named the Texas Cruise Ship Terminal, which serve ships from Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruiselines, and Carnival.
