Jetty Park is a lovely oceanfront park that encompasses a beach, a playground, picnic areas, pavilions and camping grounds. The pier is a great hit with both walkers and fishermen as it offers great views of marine traffic going to/from Port Canaveral, and also excellent fishing for redfish, common jacks and tarpon. The long sandy ocean-facing beach offers many facilities including year-round lifeguards, easy parking, freshwater showers and restrooms. Visit the busy Cove Waterfront area positioned between the park and the port to find attractive shops, cafes and restaurants. The park is operated by the Port Authority, and is situated to the south coast of the port’s exit channel.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center
The Kennedy Space Center is the base of NASA’s operations and was the launch pad for the moon-landing Apollo missions. At the Center you can watch a movie at the IMAX center, learn about the future of space travel at the Exploration Space show, enjoy the Shuttle Launch Experience and go to the famous LC39 Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Center. The Center is only 9 miles north of the port.
US Astronaut Hall of Fame
The Astronaut Hall of Fame pays tribute to US astronauts. See a fascinating collection which includes a realistic astronaut training simulator, space suits, the Sigma 7 Mercury rocket and the Science On A Sphere show. The Hall of Fame is only 4 miles westwards of the Space Center.
Cocoa Beach Pier
Built in 1962 Cocoa Beach Pier is among the most popular landmarks on Florida's Space coast. The 800 foot long pier is home to occasional live entertainment, 5 restaurants, souvenir shops and 4 bars. The beach next to the pier has showers, beach-hire stalls, year-round lifeguards and restrooms. Cocoa Beach is sited only 5 miles south of the port.

Drive west from the Port on Hwy 528 to reach fabulous attractions like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Disney/MGM Studios and Sea World of Florida all of which are less than an hour’s car drive away.
