Great Stirrup Cay Shore Excursions

Beach doorstep attraction (easy walk or less than 5mile-8km taxi/bus ride from port) Beach Great Stirrup Cay’s major attraction is a beautiful white sandy beach, lapped by crystal clear waters. It’s fairly small though (about 400ft wide), and can get very busy. Snorkeling is a popular activity, and if you venture a little offshore, or around the rocks, there’s lots of aquatic life to see. Facilities on offer at the beach include beach-loungers, umbrellas, restrooms, bars, restaurants, and volleyball courts. The fair-skinned will appreciate the abundance of shade behind the beach, thanks to many large palm trees.

Lighthouse doorstep attraction (easy walk or less than 5mile-8km taxi/bus ride from port) Lighthouse If you would like to see a little more of the island than the beach, there’s a well-trodden trail to Great Stirrup Cay’s lighthouse, about a 2 mile round trip. If you carry on a short distance past the lighthouse, the trail turns south and finishes at a small abandoned pier on the south coast of the island, with fine views over Great Harbor Cay to the south.
